Annie's Very First Haircut!

Annie got her first haircut on Friday, September 24 at a cute place called 'Snip n Snap' near our home in Surprise. She went with Mommy earlier that day to watch Mommy get a haircut and told Mommy, "When Annie gets my haircut they will put a haircutting dress on me, too!" So, she was happy to wear the cape and watch her own haircut in the mirror later that day. They also gave her many distractions, such as: a movie of her choice, a sucker, a fun car to sit in during the haircut and the promise of a super cute hairdo- complete with glitter hairspray. She loved it!!

Daddy's Softball Game

Daddy Ben started his softball league in the middle of September. Annie loves watching him and cheering him on! She knows that he is number 41 and enjoys yelling his number and saying, "Go Daddy, GO! That's my Daddy!" She also likes her own little softball glove and ball that she brings to play catch with friends. It is purple and yellow and has Tinkerbell on it! It is super cute to watch her interact with the kids hanging out at the games-- she is such a little munchkin compared to them!

Mylo and Owl

Oh yeah, Mylo likes Owl, too.

Annie and Owl

My dad (Papa Mark) got us this strange looking plastic owl to place on our roof in an effort to scare off pigeons. Annie took it off the counter and sat on the floor examining it while the adults were talking. Then I heard her exclaim to herself, "This is the best owl EVER!" Now 'Owl' cannot be mounted on the roof, because he is Annie's new buddy. He is enjoying the good life of snacktime and cozy naps instead of scarecrowing the birds away! Lucky owl!

Little Sweet Footballs

Annie and Mommy made chocolate strawberry footballs for Daddy for the first football game of the season. Even though the game did not turn out well, the chocolate footballs were a hit! Annie ate the chocolate off of most of them, which was a complete mess, but they really did turn out tasty!

Sharkbait!

The weather is still really warm here in Arizona, so we are making sure to get in the pool as much as possible. Annie finally tried out arm floaties for the first time of the summer in September and loves them! She is building her swimming confidence and will even come in the 'deep end' with Mommy or Daddy and swim on her own. She tried out the back float (with the floaties on) a couple of times on her own, too-- and decided she looked just like Dora from the Dora goes to the beach book. We hope to have a few more good swims with Annie before the weather really cools down for fall here. So far, she loves swimming and we want to keep it that way. It's so fun to watch her 'swim' and play Nemo with her-- she still loves when we call her 'Sharkbait' while swimming!

Ballet/Jazz Class

Annie started her second dance class this September. The class is for 2-4 year olds and has a focus on Ballet, Jazz and some tumbling. She has already learned many ballet positions and is even learning a routine for a little recital at the end of the course! She is really enjoying dance again, especially since two of her good friends (Reagan and Ella) are in the same class. The girls enjoy cheering each other on and are so cute dancing side by side!

The 'Lope

Daddy brought home a 'Lope stuffed friend for Annie. Little did he know that the 'fierce' 'Lope would be enjoying tea parties, baking, and playing 'Mall of America' with our little Annie! Also, Annie thinks his snarl looks like a silly smile! Do not leak any of this 'Lope softness to any Grand Canyon University rivals-- it could be blackmail! ;0)

Just hanging out...

Everyone wants Daddy's attention when he gets home from work! He usually has the whole family snuggled up to him within a half hour of his arrival home. This is a cute picture of Annie and Mylo sharing Daddy's lap. Even Annie's teddy bear 'Tahoe' wanted a snuggle!
