Daddy had the pleasure of taking Annie-bel for her first swim (on Father's Day no less!). After a few minutes of acclimation to the chillier-than-tubby-time temperature, she settled right in for her initial aquatic adventures. Her particular fave, and Dad's too, involved pretending she was a boat (Daddy pictured speedboat, Annie more resembled tugboat), tooling around, what had to be for her, the equivalent of the wide open sea. Though she didn't squeal with delight (as she does when Mommy and/or Daddy serenades her with their best vocal rendition of 'The Itsy, Bitsy Spider'), Annie had, what I can only assume was by her studied stare, some seriously focused fun. And what a joyful time, I might add, for Mommy and Daddy too. This little girl brings such vitality to our lives; she is, no doubt, sunshine to our gray skies.
