Valentine's Day Redefined

This year Valentine's Day was a family day. We decided it would be great to spend the day of love together with our little loves, too! Annie and Ezra and I spent the morning at a friend's house for a super fun Valentine's party and then went to pick up some fresh items for dinner in the afternoon. Daddy brought home some little treats for his girls, the first being a single long stem rose for Mommy. Even though we aren't flower people, he couldn't resist. He also brought home 3 pints of ice cream for a late night treat. The funny part was that I had also picked up some ice cream earlier that day-- 5 pints! We were like, 'what are we going to do with all this ice cream?!' Eat it, of course!

Daddy brought home some flowers for Annie, too. Hers were pen flowers that Daddy had made to replicate the pen-pot at a bakery that Mommy wouldn't let Annie play with... Daddy knew how much Annie had wanted to try those pens out, so he left for work super early and stopped to pick up the supplies needed to make this little project for her. So sweet. I can just picture him, 6am at his desk, making a little craft for his daughter. What a guy. Annie, of course, loves her flower pens and even asked for some 'real receipts' so that she could pretend sign them at the bottom.

The last picture in this post is of me with my Valentine's gift-- a Bob double jogger!! Aaaaah- dream stroller! I am totally loving this smooth ride- the kids do, too! I appreciate the freedom it gives me to work out a little bit during the day and Annie loves the fresh air and park break that come along with an outing in 'Bob.' She also really likes the cup holders in the stroller- perfect for 'kid's juice (apple) and a cup of chocolate bunny cookies.' Nice!
